Gaelle Bequet

ISSN International Centre
Dr. Gaelle Bequet was appointed director of the ISSN International Centre in March 2014. She began her career as an ICT specialist with the French Ministry of culture and communication. She has further held leading positions in several academic libraries. Gaelle received a PhD in Information Science from Sorbonne University in 2011. In 2014, she published her book about the history of digital libraries in Europe focusing on Austria, France and the United Kingdom. She chairs ISO Technical Committee 46 Information and Documentation and has managed the revision of ISSN standard ISO 3297:2020. Gaelle sits on Europeana Advisory Board as expert in digital strategies and contributes to the Persistent Identifiers Group within Knowledge Exchange consortium. She is a member of the PID Task Force reporting to the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
